Unfortunately, the costs of competing in this race are quite high, approximately EUR 80,000. Therefore Paul and Tori could not compete in an event like this without the generous support of various sponsors

Eamonn and Peter Kavanagh
I really don't know where to begin. Eamonn and Peter have given us the use of their boat "The Christina" for the race for absolutely no charge at all.

Both Tori and I were gob smacked when we were offered the boat. Not only that but both Eamonn and Peter are helping us prepare for this trip on all levels, from advice on rowing conditions, adjustments to the boat, food planning as well as allowing us to train with their club in Arklow every week. Their input has been and will continue to be absolutely invaluable to us and I know both Tori and I will do everything humanly possible to do justice to the incredible record the Christina has.

Appleton Capital Management - Gold Sponsor
Appleton became our first Gold Sponsor in January 2005 and we will always be very grateful for their faith and confidence in our ability to complete this voyage and raise a substantial amount of money for Concern in the process.

Appleton Capital Management is an investment management firm serving the needs of a wide range of international clients, both retail and institutional. Based in the International Financial Services Centre in Dublin, Appleton’s team is dedicated to the task of delivering consistently high risk-adjusted returns across a full spectrum of asset classes and markets.

Fyffes - Silver Sponsor
Both Tori and I were delighted that Fyffes decided to join us on our upcoming adventure as our one and only silver sponsor to date.  Their contribution is an enormous boost to us. Fyffes have a long and proud history and also supported Eamonn and Peter Kavanagh when they made history in the 1997 race. Obviously for both Tori and I, our diet has been a very important part of our preparation.  It’s nice for us to have a company such as Fyffes on board who wholeheartedly endorse and promote an active healthy lifestyle.

Westwood Health and Fitness Clubs - Bronze Sponsor
Westwood's support is invaluable to us as we have use of all their superb facilities in Clontarf, Leopardstown and Sandymount (where we train every week). These state of the art health and fitness clubs have absolutely everything we need to prepare ourselves for the transatlantic race and we are very fortunate to have the support of everyone at Westwood.

Vivas Health - Bronze Sponsor
We were delighted that Vivas Health decided to become a sponsor for our race across the Atlantic.  Vivas Health have recently entered the Irish health insurance market and like thousands of other people all over Ireland, both Tori and I were delighted with the savings we made when switching our health insurance to Vivas Health.  This took only 5 minutes over the phone to do (Tel 1850 717 717).  Touch wood we won’t have to avail of our “overseas cover” any time in the near future but it's good to have it in place.  We would like to say a big thank you to Oliver, Deirdre and all the Vivas Health team for all their help and support.

Cornmarket Group Financial Services – Bronze Sponsor
Paul has worked for Cornmarket for several years. I am delighted that my employer has not only given me time off work to pursue the row but has also decided to sponsor us as well. I couldn’t ask for a better employer and I have been blown away by the support from everyone at work.
Cornmarket (formerly Woodchester Brokers) was founded in 1972 as Savings & Investments Ltd. It is now one of Ireland's largest investment and insurance brokers and has been providing financial services to teachers, nurses and other public sector employees for almost 30 years.

Irish Life – Bronze Sponsor
Both Tori and I were delighted to welcome Irish Life aboard as a bronze sponsor. It is nice to have one of Ireland’s largest and well-known companies supporting us on this the greatest challenge of our lives.
Founded in 1939, Irish Life has been taking care of their customers' financial futures for over 60 years. Irish Life is part of the Irish Life & Permanent group of companies, one of Ireland's largest and most successful financial organisations.

Artizan Design Studio – Bronze Sponsor
Using specialist knowledge of the internet, web applications and good design, Artizan has a wealth of experience developing multimedia applications and websites. They really liked the dream we are aiming to realise and created this website for us.

Devon Town Council (Tori’s home town) – Bronze Sponsor
The town of Devon is a community based town and I am so proud to be a part of it. When I approached the town council, I was presented with nothing but encouragement. They tool this on as an opportunity to support the unique youth of our town. Devon is a small town situated alongside the North Saskatchewan river in Alberta where urban comfort meets rural charm. A place not to be missed and a community to be a part of.

Dun Laoghaire Marina – Bronze Sponsor
Dun Laoghaire Marina have very generously allowed us to keep our boat in the marina for the months leading up to the start of the race. This is an enormous help to us as it will facilitate an increased level of training over the coming months. We would like to express our sincere thanks to all in Dun Laoghaire, especially Hal Bleakley for their help
