Grafton Street Row - Fundraising Event
This was our first fundraising event for Concern. On Saturday, the 3rd of September, Tori and I began our 12-hour row at 9am. We rowed continuously alternating every 45 minutes until 7pm. We had planned to keep going until 9pm but to be honest there was no point as the crowds had subsided so we were not really taking any money. Overall we raised EUR 4,200 which we were both a bit disappointed with but its still four thousand more than we had at the start of the day so that’s something.
People’s reactions were interesting from “Are you mad” to “fareplay to you”. It was good training also for Tori and I. Unfortunately, we cannot show you some pictures of the day as our camera was stolen with all our photos on it.
