20 February 2006 - Nearly there!

Apologies for the delay in updating our website – some technical issues which happily are now resolved.

In the next few days, all going well, we will arrive in English Harbour , Antigua. This should see our crossing at approx. 85 / 86 days. Obviously, this has been longer than we would have wished but allowing for approx. 10 days of negative progress, the overall timescale would have been in line with our original expectations.

Our upcoming reunion with our parents , family and friends is something we are more than a little excited about. That will be a very special moment for us all. Obviously there is much to talk about in relation to this trip of a lifetime but we too are looking forward to hearing all the news from Ireland and Canada.

We are aware that there are some schools who have been closely following our progress and indeed some have done particular projects around our challenge. We say a special hello to all you girls and boys from the Christina and we thank your teachers who have promoted the idea and for any contributions being made to our Concern project in Zambia.

We will try to update this site again later this week when we have arrived in Antigua but for now we send our last Atlantic based message and our warmest wishes to everyone.
